When this pharmacy used manual accounting system, our personnel had problems in making financial statement, especially related to inventory. The stock card could not be made directly since there were more than 2.300 types of medicine, but we had limited personnel. The stock card was made only for dangerous medicine category. Therefore, should there any "missing" items, it could not be clearly recognized.
Because of these problems, our top management searched a user friendly accounting software which provides reliable report, with reasonable price. We have tried some accounting software demo versions, including specialized pharmacy software. However, most of them provided inventory data only, while more time and energy were needed to make the complete financial statement. Until we found Zahir accounting software.
Among various Zahir Accounting products, we chose Flexy Trade Version 5.0. Although Flexy Trade is not specially made for pharmacy, but by some modifications and add Inventory Movement module, the software has met our requirements:
1. To find out the doctor’s prescription in our pharmacy, we use Salesman in Sales Input, since we do not use the salesman module.
2. To make the medicine which consists of some items, such as to make the powder medicine as the existing prescription, we use Inventory Movement.
After using Zahir Program (Flexy Trade Version 5.0 and Inventory Movement module), making report is easier, such as:
1. Zahir Program is using English Language, which can be operated by personnel without accounting background. Thus, we do not need to hire special personnel with accounting background.
2. For more than 2.300 types of medicine inventory could be checked anytime. Should there any missing items, it could be directly found through random stock inventor. It prevents from more lost items.
3. Some reports could be reviewed anytime, especially Profit-Loss and Financial Ratios. Thus the strategic steps to run this business could be taken to achieve the maximum result.
