With the demand to be more professional, we decided to make computerized internal book-keeping. In short, we decided to use Zahir Accounting System. Here, we would like to share our experiences in using Zahir.
Before using Zahir :
Accounting Process
• Hired Financial Consultant: depended on the consultant and less internal capability, paid the fixed rate fee without recognizing the business development needs
• Used spreadsheet software would be difficult to audit the existing financial statement.
Operational Activities:
• Business activity record by using cash in – out method, and the actual business condition was unclear
• Cash flow monitoring was not easy
• COGS could be checked by the end of period
Financial Statement
• Limited to consolidated financial statement
• Without drill down capability, only static report
After using Zahir :
Accounting Process
• Use of Zahir: to be independent and build the internal capability, started with the economic version and then upgraded to meet the needs
• Using Zahir as special accounting software, easy record, report, and audit
Operational
• Business activity record using accrual method which provides actual business description
• Accurate cash flow
• COGS calculation regarding the business development
Financial Statement
• Made for each project to make easy business analysis
• Each account in the reports has link to each transaction detail
